Upgrading to Version 3

See the special rules below for upgrading Unlimited or World-Wide licenses.

If you bought a new BC2 license since 1/1/2007, you can upgrade to BC3 Standard Edition for free.

If you bought BC2 before 1/1/2007, then you can upgrade to BC3 Standard Edition for half price.

You can upgrade from BC3 Standard Edition to a Pro Edition license for the difference in price.  For a single user license, the additional amount is $20.  Use our Upgrade Calculator to determine your upgrade cost.

How to upgrade

  1. Fill out this form and we will verify your upgrade credit.
  2. If you have a free upgrade coming we can send your new key right away.
  3. Or you can use the Upgrade Coupon we send you to order a discounted (or free) license.

Upgrading BC2 Unlimited, World-Wide Licenses

The version 3 Unlimited Site and World-wide licenses are not directly comparable to version 2 licenses.  (We've substantially increased the presumed number of users for these unlimited licenses, along with the prices.)

If you have a BC2 Unlimited Site license purchased before January 1, 2007, you can get a 250-user BC3 Standard license for half price ($1125), or use that value as a credit towards a larger license.  If you bought the BC2 license on or after January 1, 2007, you can get a 250-user BC3 Standard license for free, or apply the $2250 value towards a larger license.

If you have a BC2 World-wide license purchased before January 1, 2007, you can get a 1000-user BC3 Standard license for half price ($4500), or use that value as a credit towards a larger license.  If you bought the BC2 license on or after January 1, 2007, you can get a 1000-user BC3 Standard license for free, or apply the $9000 value towards a larger license.

Adding to your License

If you want to add users to your license, you can take advantage of the new combined user count when determining your discount level.  For example, if you order a 25-user license it would cost 25 x $18 = $450.  Later, you could buy a license for an additional 25 users for 25 x $12 = $300, since the combined total of 50 users qualifies you for the lower rate.

For version 2 the additional users must be at the same site to qualify for a lower price.
