Manual Linux Context Menu Install Instructions
If the Linux Context Menu does not appear in the right-click menu on a file or folder, please first refer to our troubleshooting guide.
As a general approach, check your Distro's expected Shell Extension location to verify the bcompare-ext-*.so was successfully installed. These are distribution dependent. For example:
/usr/lib/thunarx-2/, /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/thunarx-2, /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/thunarx-2/
If it is not present, you can manually copy it from
/usr/lib/beyondcompare/ext/ and remove the "i386" or "amd64" section from the filename.
Replace $ARCH with "amd64" if 64bit, and with "i386" if using 32bit extensions.
Replace $EXT_LIB with the appropriate path above.
