Using Beyond Compare with Dreamweaver

Beyond Compare can be used as an external comparison utility in Adobe Dreamweaver on Windows and Mac.

Configuration

1. If on Mac, run Beyond Compare and select Beyond Compare > Install Command Line Tools.
2. In Dreamweaver, select Edit > Settings.
3. Select the File Compare category.
4. Click the Browse button and find the Beyond Compare executable.
   Windows: C:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 4\BCompare.exe
   Mac: /usr/local/bin/bcomp
5. Click OK (Windows) or Apply (Mac) to close the dialog.

To Compare Files

1. Select two files in the Files panel.
2. Right-click the files and select Compare Files.
3. The files will open in Beyond Compare.
