1.Choose Tools | File Formats 
(Beyond Compare | File Formats on macOS) to open the File Formats dialog.
2.Select a table format.
3.Click the General page.
4.The Mask is a set of file types to be associated with this file format.
5.The Description can include any text you want. The built-in file format descriptions include any limitations or requirements for using them.
